About the conference
This is the second conference organized by Universidad Galileo in collaboration with the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS). This event offers a series of seminars, workshops, and conferences on Data Science, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain, and Operations Research, taught by national and international specialists.
The event seeks to reunite the Guatemalan and Latin American scientific community interested in the areas mentioned above to generate possible collaborations and thus increase the application of these areas in Latin American industry.

Keynote speakers

Hatem Masri, Ph.D.
Title: Rethinking Business education – The impact of Industrial revolutions
Hatem Masri is professor of business analytics and dean of the college of business administration at the university of Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain. He is president of the African Federation of Operations Research Societies (AFROS). Hatem received a PhD in management science in 2004 and Master in operations research in 1999 from the university of Tunis, Tunisia.

Gary Cokins
Title: Analytics-Based Enterprise Performance Management
Gary Cokins is an internationally recognized expert, speaker, and author in performance improvement systems and advanced cost management. Gary received a BS degree with honors (Tau Beta Pi; Alpha Pi Mu) in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research from Cornell University in 1971. He was a two-year varsity football letterman. He received his MBA with honors (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 1974. Gary serves on the board of advisers for organizations including an advisory board with Harvard Business School Professor, Robert S. Kaplan, for the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
