The APM provides series of administration pages oriented towards the package programmer. This gives the programmer a web-based interface which simplifies the creation and maintenance of packages. Some of its capabilities include:

• Definition of package parameters.

• Definition of package callbacks.

• Definition of basic package attributes, such as the version number and name.
• Definition of package dependencies.

• Writing of the package's

  package-key.info

  file with the information entered through the web administration interface.
