MOOC-Maker 2017 International Conference
From November 16 to November 17 in Antigua Guatemala, the most important conference in Latin America in MOOC research will be held. The main focus of the conference will be the future of higher education where MOOCs experts will participate such as: Coursera, edX, Kadenze, among others.
Furthermore, the conference will have as lecturers the main characters who have contributed with knowledge to this phenomenon and who are referents at universities or organizations such as: Armando Fox, Ph.D. Of the University of California at Berkeley, Calos Delgado Klos Ph.D of the University Carlos III of Madrid and Ajay Kapur Ph.D. Founder and CEO of Kadenze.
At the Casa Santo Domingo Hotel in Antigua Guatemala, the MOOC MAKER 2017 International Conference will be held, organized by Galileo University and where trends and practical experiences in MOOCs will be announced and that’s why this conference is viewed as the most relevant in the field of online education for Latin America and an opportunity to open the gap in the field of online education in the region.
Dr. Rocael Hernández, President of the Conference, issues an invitation saying: “The focus of the conference will be the future of education and universities, so we invite you to participate and learn from the bigest MOOCs suppliers in the world, and to join us in shaping the future of higher education.”
Call for Papers
On September 1, an opportunity will be given to technologists, researchers, course designers for universities and industry so they can share their approaches and points of view on key topics, such as: analysis and data mining, evaluation, accreditation, aspects of pedagogy, gamification of services in the cloud and resources, universal design, accessibility and technological/architecture frameworks.
The best works will be presented at the MOOCMaker Conference, and will be invited to submit an article (extended research) at EURODL (European Journal of Open, Distance and E-Learning) IRRODL (The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning), and JUCS (Journal of Universal Computer Sciences). These submissions will be subject to a standard review process to be published by the journals according to the publication procedures.
