About the Master’s Degree

Technological advances are bringing about significant changes and innovations that are revolutionizing the world. The industry that started with water-driven mechanical production equipment and steam power, are now becoming industries based on the use of cybernetic physical systems called “Smart Factories”.

Industry 4.0 is characterized by cyber physical systems, intelligent robots, capable of interacting with each other, as well as the use of Big Data, crowdsourcing, mobility, efficient and decentralized energy, virtual industrialization, among others. According to the World Economic Forum, 10 countries emerge as leaders of the industry’s 4.0 revolution including Singapore, Finland, Sweden, Norway, the United States, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and Japan. These countries will benefit financially from investments in communication and information technologies within their industries.

The training of professionals becomes a vital strategy for adaptation or migration towards an industry 4.0. Certification

Graduate Profile

The graduate will be a specialist in technical areas required in the industry such as: Digital Control, Industrial Automation, Project Engineering, Embedded Applications, Entrepreneurship and Scientific Research, among other areas.

The graduate of this master’s degree can obtain the first and second certification in Virtual Instrumentation by National Instruments, an outstanding company worldwide in development and sale of software products, hardware and services for the industry through its leading product LabVIEW. This certification will accredit the graduate to work in more than 50 countries that use this technology.

Methodology

Each class is planned so that the theoretical and practical contents that motivate the interaction between the teacher and the students can be developed.

The methodology proposed, motivates the participation of students in an exchange of ideas, knowledge and perspectives. It also combines several complementary learning methods and strategies such as use of highly equipped laboratories, expert talks, participation in scientific fairs, preparation of real projects, motivation for self-learning and carrying out conferences, among others.

This in order to enhance knowledge and thus generate in the student better criteria, experiences, perspectives and knowledge that lead him to a training as complete and comprehensive as possible.
