About the Master

Renewable energies must play an important role in reducing the emission of carbon dioxide, a fundamental goal worldwide. Furthermore, increasing the proportion of renewable energies in the energy balances of any nation, and thus promoting sustainability and helping increase security of the energy supply, reducing dependence on energy imports. It is expected that renewable energy sources will be, in the medium and long term, economically competitive with conventional energy sources.

The Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy is designed to generate strengthened professionals in technical, mechanical, electrical, administrative and financial areas.

Graduate Profile

 

The general goal of the master’s degree is the training of professionals specialized in the evaluation of resources, the design, analysis of technical and economic feasibility, optimization and the management of facilities for the use of Renewable Energies.

To form a base of young graduates whose training allows them to join the renewable energy sector from a privileged position since they are technically responsible, both for management and organization tasks and for the production centers themselves.

Provide the professionals in the sector, already involved in energy issues, with a specialization that will help them to carry out their work efficiently by placing the most advanced technologies in the sector at their disposal.

To know the new technologies that are being developed continuously in the sector of energy use of the natural resources.

To obtain a network of contacts that facilitates the exchange of information and experiences among all the participants of the master’s degree: students, professors, teaching professionals, technicians and collaborating companies.

Methodology

Each class is planned so that the theoretical and practical contents that motivate the interaction between the teacher and the students can be developed.

The methodology proposed, motivates the participation of students in an exchange of ideas, knowledge and perspectives. It also combines several complementary learning methods and strategies such as use of highly equipped laboratories, expert talks, participation in scientific fairs, preparation of real projects, motivation for self-learning and carrying out conferences, among others.

This in order to enhance knowledge and thus generate in the student better criteria, experiences, perspectives and knowledge that lead him to a training as complete and comprehensive as possible.
